- As you reflect on first semester, and your writing from the summer essay to the To kill a Mockingbird essay what do you notice is most different about your writing structure/format
- Where is one are you notice improvement?
SUMMER ESSAY
- used our, we , i, and you way to much
- My quotes that i used was way to long (some didn't even fit into my example/supporting detail
- had a couple run on sentences
- Summarized way to much
TKM ESSAY
- didn't used our,we, i and you as much
- my quotes fit my example and weren't as long
- didn't summarized
- my attention grabber fit with my thesis
- title was a lot better
- What elements about the writing format do you find make writing easier? What components of the structure do you feel you are challenge areas that you need the most practice
- Since in the summer i didn't even know of the MLA format my summer essay about the book Tuesdays with Morrie looks very weak compared ot my TKM paper. Since i know of it know my essay structure has improved a lot. For example my themes about the topic Lastly since i didn't know as much about writing in the summer compared to now i like having archetypes
- Other than that my challenge in structure wise, is that i need to practice my linking the attention getter to my thesis. Also i could work on have better supporting detials that can help point out what i need the readers to know.
- What overall goals do you have for your writing? If you could target one specific area, what do you believe is most critical for you to improve on?
- Sometime in my future i would like to beable to write a good essay quickly for the ACT and the MME and hopefully get a 6 or a 5. Also be able to let my read/ audience be able to know how i feel about the topic.
- The most critical thing that i think that i need to improve on is to write in a more efficient way. Fro example being able to let my audience know what i am trying to get at without listing everty thing off fromwhat they already read. Using better and less original details. Have my essays or any other type of writing have more imagination in them.
